Cork Chamber Company of the Year Awards

Feb 5, 2015

Frocks are being readied and shoes are being shined at TWi in anticipation of the Cork Chamber 2015 Cork Company of the Year Awards. We are delighted to be nominated as a finalist in the ‘Emerging’ category alongside Human + Kind and WhatSalon.

The winners will be announced at the gala Cork Chamber Annual Dinner at City Hall on February 6th, to an expected audience of 1,000 people – including business and political leaders from across the country.

In the weeks leading up to the announcement, each nominated company was featured as part of a Cork Company of the Year series in the Irish Examiner, as well as a series of videos created by Cork Chamber.

TWi founder, Patrice Fanning, told the Irish Examiner:

Our vision, from the outset, has been to create a specialist technical-writing company that is capable of rivalling the best in the world. Being nominated and shortlisted for this ‘Company of the Year’ award gives us confidence that we’re on the right track and recognises the tremendous commitment and work ethic of our growing team.

TWi’s nomination for the Cork Company of the Year award comes just months after TWi took first prize in the ‘High Potential Start-Up’ category last November in the 2014  it@Cork Leader Awards.

Whatever the outcome on Friday night, Patrice is looking forward to speaking at another important Cork business event. I Wish, a city and regional schools initiative to inspire Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), takes place on February 12th at locations throughout Cork. I Wish aims to provide role models for young women interested in STEM and empower the next generation.
